Stow is run by Halling Howells Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 06777929) at Unit A St Andrews Court, Wellington Street, Thame, OX9 3WT. These terms cover your use of stow.sh, its API, CLI and MCP connector. By subscribing or uploading you agree to them.
Plans
- Personal costs $5 a month. It holds up to 10 GB of files and includes around 1 TB of delivery and 2,000 new resized versions of images and video a month.
- Studio costs $15 a month or $150 a year. It holds up to 100 GB of files, includes around 5 TB of delivery and 10,000 new resized versions a month, and comes with email support.
- Files can be up to 100 MB each on either plan.
- Prices are in US dollars, billed through Stripe, plus any tax due where you live.
- Delivery and resizing are fair-use allowances, not hard caps. A resized version counts once, however often it's viewed. If an account goes well past its allowance we'll get in touch before doing anything.
- Moving between plans takes effect straight away. Stripe charges or credits the difference for the rest of the period.
- Cancel any time from your account. Your plan runs to the end of the month or year you've paid for.
Your files
Everything you upload is public to anyone who has its link. Links are unguessable and not listed anywhere, but they are not private: treat a shared link as published. You keep all rights to your files and give us only the permission needed to store, transform and serve them.
When you delete a file its link stops working, though resized copies can stay in caches for a while. If your plan ends, your files stay up for 30 days, then we delete them.
What you can't upload
- Anything illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- Malware, phishing pages, or anything meant to deceive or harm the people who open it.
- Sexual content involving minors, content that harasses or threatens people, or personal data shared without consent.
- Material used to dodge someone else's hosting limits, such as hotlinked downloads for a large public site.
We can remove files and close accounts that break these rules, and will refund the unused part of the plan unless the account was used for abuse.
Reporting abuse
Email abuse@stow.sh with the link. We respond within a day, and remove clearly unlawful files as soon as we see them.
Privacy
We keep your email address, your WorkOS sign-in id and the Stripe ids for your plan, and nothing else about you. Sign-in is handled by WorkOS and payment by Stripe; Cloudflare stores and serves the files. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies; the one cookie Stow sets keeps you signed in.
The service
We work hard to keep Stow up and your files safe, but it comes without guarantees, so keep your own copies of anything that matters. Our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last twelve months. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If they change in a way that matters, we'll email you first.
